A Nasty Thunderstorm Lit Up The Sky In Ontario Last Night & The Videos Are Wild

A series of severe Ontario thunderstorms made this weekend a chaotic mess for residents attempting to enjoy the outdoors, thanks to a barrage of heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds.

According to The Weather Network (TWN), the storms brought about localized flooding for some areas with others experiencing widespread tornado warnings on Sunday evening.

Weather conditions were so bad that Hydro One reported that over 30,000 residents were temporarily left in the dark on Sunday.

The storms were largely created by the extreme heat and humidity that also affected southern Ontario over the weekend.

Thankfully, TWN reports that an approaching cold front will bring relief from the province's recent heat wave this week with humidity levels expected to dip.
