Check your freezer! A frozen chicken recall has been issued across Canada by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), due to "possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination."
The recall for Erie Meat Products Ltd.'s Frozen All White Meat Fully Cooked Diced Chicken was issued on September 10 and refers to packs with a best before date of April 28, 2022.

The products were sold across Canada, including in Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. The recall warns that they "may have been distributed in other provinces or territories," too.
CFIA urges Canadians to immediately throw out any frozen chicken packets that are affected. If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, the agency says you should call a doctor.
"Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick," warns the notice.
Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.
