One man's outstanding commitment has really paid off. Ontario lottery winner Brian James is taking home some cash after playing the lotto for decades.
The Milton local scored $500,000 in the June 22, 2021, Lotto Max draw, which marks his first big win. "I've been playing the lottery for decades and this is my first major win," James shared with OLG.
The 67-year-old retired warehouse worker said he couldn't wait to tell his wife when he found out the big news. "She looked at it about five times before realizing what it was," he laughed. "Then we called our family to share the good news!"
James plans to share the wealth with his family, but will also make sure to spoil himself.
"I will also pay some bills, take a trip to Hawaii and get a new puppy," he told OLG.
