Various big-name celebrities were in Toronto in 2023 and some of these Hollywood stars raved about the food they ate at restaurants across the city.

From Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard to actress and film producer Drew Barrymore, here are the 12 Toronto restaurants where some of the most well-known celebs dined this year.

Adrak Yorkville

Why You Need To Go: Adrak is an Indian restaurant in Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood which serves dishes that represent a "mix between traditions, modernity and innovation." The spot has been mentioned in the Michelin guide so it's no surprise that it's a hit with celebs who visit.

Jessica Alba dined at the restaurant when she was in Toronto for her Honest Renovations press tour in August.

Alba and her co-star Lizzy Mathis both shared videos on Instagram at the time showing them enjoying a variety of dishes like the Prawn Tandoori at Adrak and raved about the food saying "it was sooo damn good."

"At the end of the meal, she and her team expressed to the restaurant that their experience was amazing," Adrak told Narcity.

Why You Need To Go: Drew Barrymore was in Toronto in July to reportedly film a commercial and she made sure to squeeze in a visit to not one, but two restaurants while she was in the city.

One of the spots she went to was Fat Pasha on Dupont Street, which serves Middle Eastern and European Jewish dishes like falafel, fried halloumi sticks and grilled chicken Paprikash.

Why You Need To Go: Another restaurant Drew Barrymore visited when she was in Toronto was Schmaltz Appetizing, which serves an assortment of drool-worthy bagels, smoked fish and pastrami.

The 50 First Dates actress shared just how much she loves the place in a magazine spread that Schmaltz Appetizing posted on its Instagram page.

"The pastrami is what dreams are made of," Barrymore said about the Toronto eatery.

Why You Need To Go: Pai was a celebrity hotspot in 2023 with many stars sharing their love of the place.

One of those stars is Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard who dined at the restaurant during the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival in September.

A spokesperson from Pai told Narcity that the actor "really enjoyed the pork skewers" as well as the "whole Northern Thai platter."

Canadian actor Simu Liu has also eaten at Pai several times and calls it one of his favourite restaurants in Toronto.

On an episode of Buzzfeed's Worth It, the actor said the Khao Soi on Pai's menu has the "perfect noodle consistency."

Why You Need To Go: Billy Bryk, who co-directed the slasher comedy Hell Of A Summer with Finn Wolfhard, shared one of his favourite spots to grab a bite in Toronto: Delina Shawarma in the city's Beaches area.

"It's my favourite food and the nicest people in the whole city, I think," Bryk told Narcity.

Wolfhard, who was standing next to him during the interview with Narcity, agreed and said he usually hangs out with Bryk, so you'd catch him there, too.

When Pamela Anderson was in the city for a book signing in February she stopped at the restaurant for dinner with her son Brandon Thomas Lee and an HGTV representative.

A restaurant rep told Narcity that Anderson ordered the restaurant's group dining menu along with a bunch of extras like the beet tartare, Risotto Milanese, and Rigatoni Salsiccia.

"Pamela was extremely polite and gracious," a restaurant rep told Narcity.
