Tim Hortons Has So Many Timbits Flavours That Don't Exist Anymore & Some Seem Delicious

If you've ever been to Tim Hortons, you know there are quite a few Timbits flavours to choose from when ordering.

But you might not know that there are a lot of Timbits that don't exist anymore and some of these sweet treats seem pretty delicious.

The bite-sized treats that are now Canadian classics have been around for more than 45 years and were first introduced at the coffee chain in 1976.

Some of the Timbits flavours that you currently can order at Tim Hortons across the country include Chocolate Glazed, Birthday Cake, Old Fashioned Plain, Honey Dip and more — depending on what's available at your local spot, of course.

While you probably know those long-time favourites, you might be surprised to find out that there are a lot of unique Timbits that were discontinued over the years.

Tim Hortons shared that "dozens of different Timbits flavours" have been available during the more than 45 years the treats have been on the menu.

Some of the discontinued flavours were limited-edition offerings that weren't even available in most locations across the country.

That makes them even more rare!

A few of the Timbit flavours from past decades are Apple Fritter, Banana Cream Filled, Cherry Cake, Chocolate Marble, Chocolate Peanut Crunch, Chocolate White Coconut and Churro.

Also, Canadians were once able to order Cinnamon French Toast, Cotton Candy, Cruller, Lemon Cake, Old Fashioned Cinnamon, Sour Cream Chocolate, Sour Cream Cinnamon and Spiced Apple Filled Timbits in Canada.

Some of those seem like they could fit right back into the Tim Hortons menu!

Tims also revealed a few Timbits flavours that have been served at locations around the world.

That includes Apple Pie, Dulce de Leche, Matcha, Caramel Macchiato, Cheesecake, Red Dates, Salted Egg Yolk, Pistachio, and Boston Cream Timbits.

Speaking of Timbits that have been on the menu over the years, the co-created Timbits from Tim Hortons and Justin Bieber were all special flavours based on current favourites.

The limited edition Timbiebs flavours — which you can't order anymore — were Chocolate White Fudge, Sour Cream Chocolate Chip and Birthday Cake Waffle.

In 2023, Tim Hortons asked which discontinued Timbits should be brought back — Honey Crueller, Blueberry Glazed, Double Double, or Salted Caramel — and a lot of Canadians said Honey Cruller.

Also, a few people had more unique answers for the national coffee chain, including Blueberry Filled, Boston Cream and even Walnut Crunch!

If you're wondering what Canada's most popular Timbits have been recently, Chocolate Glazed was the most ordered flavour in 2021, topping the ranking not only nationally but also locally in Ontario, Quebec, and Western Canada.

That flavour was followed by Birthday Cake, Honey Dip, Old Fashioned Plain and Sour Cream Glazed.

Old Fashioned Plain was the most ordered Timbit in Atlantic Canada that year.
