7 Toronto Restaurants Expected To Open In 2024 That You Should Be Excited About

There are many Toronto restaurants that you might consider to be outstanding, but some may think the best is yet to come.

Diners can expect to taste and experience many new restaurants set to open in 2024, and the anticipation is high! From Shake Shack to Nobu Toronto, some of the world's best fast food and fine dining restaurants have yet to debut in Canada.

And even though 2023 was a great year for Toronto's restaurant scene, with new Michelin-starred restaurants being recognized and some spots making it on Canada's best lists, 2024 should only be bigger and better.

Here are seven Toronto restaurants that you need to keep your eyes peeled for because they will be the talk of the town.

Price: 💸

Address: TBA

Cuisine: Fast food

Why You Need To Go: Shake Shack is an American burger chain that has opened locations in many big cities around the world, like London and Dubai, but it has yet to make its Canadian debut. In 2023, the brand shared that they will be opening their first Canadian Shake Shack location in Toronto in 2024, and the opening date couldn't come any sooner.

Shake Shack London was not disappointing at all; in fact, even though some may think it's overhyped and Toronto already has all the burger joints it needs, I am confident that the fast food chain will not disappoint Canadians because it's so darn good.

Why You Need To Go: Nobu is a well-known international restaurant in many big cities like Miami, New York, Rome and Dubai.

From raw fish to cooked cod and some of the world's most delicate dishes, you can expect to be transported to another world with the gastronomy experience that Nobu promises.

Nobu Restaurant Toronto

Bar Compton Ave

Price: 💸💸💸

Address: 1282 Dundas St. W., Toronto

Cuisine: Bar

Why You Need To Go: If you're a fan of Frankie Solarik's bars in Toronto, then you must be excited about this new addition. Solarik is known for BarChef and Prequel & Co. Apothecary, so we can only expect Bar Compton Ave to be just as cool.

However, unlike the other Toronto bars, this one has more of an English feel. So, if an elevated London bar with artistic and thirst-quenching cocktails is your vibe, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for this one.

Opening Date: Early 2024

L'Avenue

Price: 💸💸

Address: 486 Front St. W., Toronto

Cuisine: Brunch

Why You Need To Go: L'Avenue is a famous Canadian brunch restaurant in Montreal that quickly gained attention because its dishes are drool-worthy. L'Avenue has three Montreal locations and will open its first restaurant in Toronto's The Well in 2024.

The Well is one of Toronto's most popular destinations at the moment, and we can only imagine how busy it'll be once all its restaurants finally open their doors. Prince Street Pizza opened in 2023 and the excitement behind the spot was so high that the restaurant had a line out the door for months, and from the looks of it, L'Avenue is a brunch spot you should be adding to your list as well.

Why You Need To Go: If the Toronto location is anything like the ones in Calgary or Vancouver, then Torontonians will have a great place to hang out on the weekends.

Greta Bar is an arcade bar with many games to play and street food that will surely get you munching.

In Toronto, gamers can expect to explore a two-floor 12,500 square-foot venue with over 50 arcade games, including "vintage classics with state-of-the-art interactive experiences," a spokesperson told Narcity.

It's time for a friendly game of Pacman.

Why You Need To Go: Mott 32 is a fine dining restaurant with elevated Chinese food that seriously looks delicious.

Blue Bovine Steak & Sushi House

Price: The menu is not out yet.

Address: 65 Front St W Unit 108, Toronto

Why You Need To Go: This lavish and beautifully decorated restaurant is taking Union Station to new heights. The restaurant is located underground but it has a vibe that can take you out of this world.

The restaurant is part of Liberty Group's latest projects and it is set to open in February 2024. This restaurant is run by the same company that's involved with BlueBlood Steakhouse in Casa Loma, but Blue Bovine Steak & Sushi House is definitely going to be more bold and sexy, giving a vibe that's much different than the Toronto classic.

"Indulge in the art of gastronomy with the most premium cuts of steak and exceptional sushi, curated by hospitality icon Nick Di Donato and Liberty Entertainment Group," the restaurant stated in an Instagram post.
