Tim Hortons has announced the return of a delicious donut, but if you want to try it for yourself, you only have two days to get your hands on it!
From February 2-4, 2024, Canadians can get their hands on the Tims Special Olympics Donut which is my favourite donut the company has ever made — and all of the proceeds get donated to Special Olympics Canada.
The donut itself is like the chocolate glazed donut without the glaze — instead, it has white fondant with coloured sprinkles on one half and a dollop of whipped topping in the middle. Altogether, it makes for a fun bite with the crunch of the sprinkles and the fondant and whipped topping adding some moisture to the donut itself, which can admittedly be a little dry.
"The multi-coloured design was inspired by the themes of diversity and inclusion that are central to the Special Olympics mission," says Tim Hortons. "For every Special Olympics Donut sold, 100 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics Canada to help athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities access more opportunities to reach their full potential in sport and in life."
This year's Special Olympics Canada Winter Games are kicking off on February 27 in Calgary and will run until March 2.
