Celebs in BC: David Beckham hits the slopes and Disney shuts down a Vancouver bridge



David Beckham was spotted snowboarding in British Columbia and a Vancouver bridge was shut down for a Disney film.

Those weren't the only celebrity sightings on Canada's West Coast over the weekend.

From hitting the slopes to an exciting movie project taking over the streets of Vancouver, here are all the details of what some stars got up to in B.C.

David Beckham goes snowboarding in Fernie


David Beckham shared a carousel of photos and a video on Instagram from a recent trip to B.C.

The former soccer pro athlete posted a video of himself snowboarding down a hill in Fernie on March 15.

"What an amazing experience with friends, creating incredible memories…ending with the perfect triple somersault face plant," he captioned the post.

Beckham also included a photo with his son Cruz.

It looks like the group Beckham was with went catskiing, which means a snowcat transported them up the mountain so they could go down the hill away from controlled areas.

Tron 3 films on the streets of Vancouver


The cast and crew of the Disney film Tron: Ares were back filming on the streets of Vancouver over the weekend.

The film's director Joachim Ronning shared a photo of himself standing in the middle of an empty Cambie Street Bridge.

Another pic shared in a Reddit thread r/tron showed photos of two people on motorcycles with red lights attached to them.

The third installment of the Tron franchise has been filming in Vancouver since December 2023 and the cast has been spotted shooting scenes outdoors in recent weeks.

Jared Leto, who stars as Ares in the film, was spotted in early March in full costume on Burrard Street.

Along with Leto, the cast includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan and Gillian Anderson.

Justin Hartley enjoys a Canucks game


This Is Us actor Justin Hartley was spotted at a Vancouver Canucks game over the weekend.

The actor is currently in Vancouver shooting the CBS show Tracker, which was recently renewed for a second season.

Tracker will continue filming in B.C. until late April.
