VIA Rail is offering discounts on train rides across the country, whether you want to travel from city to city, or you want to leave the urban life behind for charming small towns and natural wonders.
With VIA Rail's Summer Sale, you can get up to 40% off the price of train tickets for trips across Canada, including in their business and sleeper class.
With the sale, you can get 40% off of the price of economy class tickets onboard VIA Rail's Quebec City-Windsor corridor for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, or 30% off of the route for travel on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays for travel between May 15 and September 30, 2024.
The route goes from Windsor all the way to Quebec City, with cities including Toronto, Niagara Falls, Ottawa and Montreal on the way.
With the discount, trips from Toronto to Montreal work out to be as low as $39 one-way, which is less than what you'd probably spend on dinner.
If you want to adventure across Canada, you can also save on VIA Rail's Ocean and Canadian trains with the sale.
The Ocean train is VIA Rail's Montreal to Halifax route, which takes you across the Maritimes in a single day.
The Canadian, which has been called one of the world's best train trips, is VIA Rail's Toronto to Vancouver train, which takes you through prairie fields, rugged lake country and picturesque towns to the snowy peaks of the Rockies.
With the sale, you can get 30% off the Escape fare in Economy class and swanky Sleeper Plus class on board the Canadian and the Ocean, as well as 40% off the discounted fare for berths in the Sleeper Plus class on board the Canadian train, for travel between November 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025.
In Sleeper Plus, you can get access to the business lounge while waiting for your train, washroom and shower access on board, and access to different cars on the train, including the park car, the Renaissance car, dining car and the Skyline car.
With the promotion, you can get a sweet deal on the Sleeper Plus class, with a trip from Toronto to Vancouver ringing up at $491 instead of $818.
If you want to enjoy a premium experience on your next trip, you can also save 25% on the business fare in business class on the Québec City–Windsor corridor for travel between May 15 and September 30, 2024.
