Why You Should Go: A new night market is launching in White Rock on May 31. White Rock Night Markets will take over the promenade inside Memorial Park on the last Friday of every month from May to September 2024.

West Vancouver Community Cultural Festival

Black Music Month Festival

When: May 31 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., June 1 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., June 2 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Why You Should Go: The Black Music Month Festival is back for its seventh year in Vancouver.

The event celebrates the vibrant artist contributions of the black community. The festival will feature over 70 local and international BIPOC artists and vendors, as well as delicious food and live music. The outdoor celebration will be held at the City Centre Artist Lodge throughout the weekend.

Hats Off Day

When: June 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why You Should Go: Celebrate Hats Off Day at a two-kilometre street party in Burnaby.

The community event will feature a parade, vintage cars, entertainment, street food from around the world and more. This year's theme is "Once Up a Time" and anyone attending is encouraged to dress up as their favourite fairytale character.

Outdoor yoga class on the pier
