Loblaw is planning to open a bunch of grocery stores in Canada this year.
That includes discount retailers like No Frills and Maxi so you can get "more affordable food."
Loblaw Companies Limited — which owns stores like Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, and T&T — announced plans for 2025 which include a $2.2 billion investment into the Canadian economy.
That is expected to help Loblaw "improve access to more affordable food" for Canadians and offer better access to health care services.
This year, 80 new stores will open in Canada including including No Frills, Maxi and T&T grocery stores, Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmpaprix drug stores, and more discount stores.
Also, more than 300 current grocery and pharmacy locations will be renovated, along with the addition of 100 new Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy care clinics.
Loblaw is also set to open a 1.2 million-square-foot facility in East Gwillimbury, Ontario.
All of this is expected to create around 8,000 jobs in communities across the country.

"Whether it's increasing orders for products made in Canada or further broadening our Small Supplier program, we're committed to home-grown success," Bank continued.
Recently, Narcity asked Canadians to reveal their favourite grocery stores in Canada and No Frills and Real Canadian Superstore — both owned by Loblaw — were among the top spots.
A few more Loblaw-owned stores were named as favourites, including Loblaws, Maxi, T&T, Fortinos and Zehrs.
So, it seems like these shoppers will have more places to get their groceries from soon!
