Gas Prices In Ontario Are Set To Dramatically Rise This Week So RIP Your Wallet

Travelling is about to get more expensive for drivers who'll be digging deep into their pockets this week to afford Ontario gas prices.

Dan McTeague, gas analyst and president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, reported in a tweet on Wednesday that prices are set to rise another five cents, moving up to 140.9 cents a litre on Friday.

The significant leap in prices is expected to impact several popular areas including Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Barrie and Windsor.

The province's gas has reached 140.9 cents a litre at least two other times this year. However, McTeague reported that the highs are still unusual having previously been reported on June 21, 2014.

So if you're looking to fill up your tanks, you will want to do so before Friday.
