A Major TTC Subway Closure Could Make You Review Your Weekend Plans

Toronto commuters will want to rework their transit plans this weekend due to a major TTC subway closure.

An advisory by the transit agency warns that no subway service will be offered on Line 2 between Kipling and Islington stations from Saturday, September 4, to Sunday, September 5, due to structure and signal maintenance.

Anyone looking to commute along the line will have to take a shuttle bus instead.

All stations will, however, remain open for people to load their PRESTO cards or purchase PRESTO tickets.

The TTC also advised customers who require an accessible connection and will be travelling westbound on Line 2 to exit the train at Royal York Station and see any TTC customer service employee for assistance, as Islington is not an accessible station yet.
