Trying to be eco-conscious while still travelling overseas?
Google Flights just launched a new tool that'll help you figure out exactly how big your carbon footprint is when you fly, so you can choose flight and even seats that are slightly less terrible for the environment.
The new tool took off on Wednesday and it's based on a ton of carbon emissions data, according to Google. The estimate shows up next to flight prices, so you can pick the greenest flight when it's a toss-up between a few options.
Newer aircraft are generally more efficient and economy seats have a smaller carbon footprint because they take up less space, Google says.
The company started doing something similar with hotels last month as part of an effort to offer people greener travel options.
