$30 zodiac coin


If you're into astrology, you can get this $30 zodiac coin with the astrological signs circling the sun, moon and stars.

Three outer bands surround the inner core which has an engraved illustration of the sun and moon.

Those bands feature sculptures of the 12 signs of the zodiac, glyphs representing the astrological signs and their respective numbers.

Pure gold dragon coin


Canada's Mint is offering this spirit dragon coin that was released in 2024 to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

It features the dragon Shenlong, a rainmaker and master of storms.

The 99.99% pure gold coin, which is the traditional colour of prosperity and good fortune, has a face value of $8.

Queen Elizabeth II black toonie


Even though it was released in 2022, you can still get the Queen Elizabeth II black toonie from the Royal Canadian Mint.

It's the Mint's first circulation coin to feature a black-nickel-coloured design.

Then, the creation story unfolds in the cardinal directions reflecting the cycle of the natural world.

Snowflake $20 coin


This is the Royal Canadian Mint's first hexagon coin and it features a sparkling snow crystal.

Since most snow crystals have six points or sides, the Mint was inspired to make it a hexagon coin.

The outline emphasizes the snow crystal's shape while the engraved flake, that has a clear crystal in the centre, shows the uniqueness of snow.

Remembrance Day coin


This silver coin is dotted with red poppies, representing Remembrance Day.

On the 99.99% pure silver coin is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the National War Memorial in Ottawa with a veteran and a child placing red-coloured poppies on the tomb.
