Here's what you need to know if you're in Toronto from Monday, April 22 to Sunday, April 28.
☀️ WEATHER
Get ready for sunshine!
Toronto's weather forecast is calling for sunny days most of this week with just a chance of a shower on April 24 and a few showers on April 28.
Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are expected to have temperatures in the teens — getting up to 15 C on the weekend.
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday are a bit cooler at around 9 C.
🍽️ FOOD AND DRINK
Eataly's La Piazza restaurant at the Yorkville location now serves brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every weekend.
This Italian-inspired brunch features tiramisù pancakes topped with espresso, uova benedittine, crostone di avocado, spaghetto alla carbonara, espresso martinis, and mimosas.
If you're in need of food inspiration in the city, look no further than the Keith Lee Effect. This famed food critic recently visited the city and dined at Toronto restaurants.

Trying to spot celebrities in the city this week?
Quite a few shows and movies are filming in Toronto throughout April including Ginny & Georgia, The Boys, Reacher and Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein.
So, you could run into Jacob Elordi, Oscar Issac, Colman Domingo, Brianne Howey, Zachary Quinto, Alan Ritchson, Mia Goth, Alexander Skarsgard, Erin Moriarty, Antonia Gentry and more celebs.
✅ THINGS TO DO
Cherry blossoms in High Park are expected to reach "peak bloom" on Monday, April 22.
If you can't make it that day, don't worry. Flowers should last for 4 to 10 days — depending on the weather, of course.
Looking to immerse yourself in arts and culture this week? You can visit the Royal Ontario Museum and check out the Wildlife Photographer of the Year gallery which features a hundred photographs of the world's wildlife.
The ROM is open Tuesday to Sunday between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Sports fans, you can try and get tickets to Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs games happening in the city this week.
You can get out and enjoy nature by taking part in a free guided forest yoga hike in Rouge National Urban Park at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 28.
🤑 MONEY
Money, money, money! It makes the world go 'round, right?
If you're looking for work, TTC jobs are available in Toronto and the pay goes up to $50 an hour.
Also, Health Canada jobs for nurses are open with positions in cities across the country — including Toronto. The salary is $81,513 to $92,653 a year!
Keep an eye on your bank account or check your mailbox this week because Canada Carbon Rebate payments could be coming your way as a direct deposit or a cheque.
Even though this payment date was April 15, you might not have received your money if you filed your taxes after March 15. Money is expected go out six to eight weeks after you file your tax return.
🏒 SPORTS
Toronto is a sports city, even if some of our teams haven't won championships in decades.
So, here's what you need to know about sports this week.
HOCKEY
The Toronto Maple Leafs are in the NHL Playoffs and facing the Boston Bruins in round one. This week's games are:
- Monday, April 22 at 7 p.m. in Boston
- Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in Toronto
- Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m. in Toronto
BASEBALL
The Blue Jays are playing away from home against the Kansas City Royals this week so you won't be able to watch in person.
Here's the away game schedule:
- Monday, April 22 at 7:40 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 23 at 7:40 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 24 at 7:40 p.m.
- Thursday, April 25 at 7:40 p.m.
But the Jays are back in town to end the week with home games against the LA Dodgers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Guess you just found your weekend plans?
Here's the home game schedule:
- Friday, April 26 at 7:07 p.m.
- Saturday, April 27 at 3:07 p.m.
- Sunday, April 28 at 1:07 p.m.
SOCCER
Toronto FC — more commonly known as TFC — is away from home this week for their MLS game.
So, if you want to watch the match versus Orlando City SC on Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m., you'll have to tune into Apple TV+.
