BC and Alberta's summer weather forecast is out and 'scorching' temperatures are ahead

A 2025 summer forecast for Western Canada is out, and you can see what to expect in the months ahead. B.C. and Alberta's weather will involve some serious heat, so get ready for a long, sweaty season with soaring temperatures.

The Farmers' Almanac summer forecast for Canada came out, giving a glimpse into the summer weather patterns. Most of Canada is going to be facing above-average temperatures, arriving "in full force by July," and even some "long-standing high temperature records may be broken," the forecast said. This could make for some sweltering days and warmer-than-usual nights for many regions.

B.C. and parts of Alberta are set to be drier than normal on top of the heat, which Farmers' Almanac says "could possibly lend itself to widespread wildfire activity."

According to the 2025 Summer Outlook map, included in the forecast, B.C. and some of the nearby parts of Alberta are set to be warm and dry, while the rest of Alberta is expected to have "scorching temps" and "average rainfall."

The "scorching" temperatures are also expected to go across Saskatchewan and Manitoba as well, along with average rainfall for the Prairies.

The summer officially starts on June 20, so get ready for some heat!
