A Toronto Building Explosion Has Shutdown The Area & People Are Injured



A Toronto building explosion has left one person dead and another injured following a deadly chemical spill.

According to the Toronto Police Service, officers responded to reports of an explosion at a chemical plant located at Wicksteed Avenue and Beth Nealson Drive at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

The plant has reportedly been evacuated. Police said earlier that fire crews were at the scene attempting to put out the flames.

The Toronto Fire Service said one person had died as a result of the explosion, while another individual was injured.

The area is currently closed off to both vehicle and rail traffic.
